So, I was asked to look into securing certain parts of the SIMS.net system (MIS used in most UK schools) so that only the Senior Team could delete pupil behaviour logs
Only to find out that Capita, the developers of SIMS.net) have decided that this is not an option, and that it is ok for all users of the system to be able to delete any behaviour log for any pupil, no matter which staff member has added it..
Also, Capita appear to think that there is no need to keep an audit trail of what users do on SIMS…
If you are reading this Capita – you are wrong! we do need to be able to audit users activity, and certain information should not be allowed to be deleted by ANY staff member!
